I think that trac must be configured to allow smtp I see in my own Trac, file trac.ini: [notification] smtp_enabled = false smtp_replyto = smtp_always_cc = smtp_server = localhost smtp_from = always_notify_reporter = false So maybe smtp was not activated on gregarius Trac?
